ArcIMS Java Requirements


J2SE JRE Requirements

  • ArcIMS Server: Refer to your Web server documentation for supported JRE versions.
    A J2SE JRE does not have to be installed prior to installing ArcIMS, the post installation setup will provide you with the opportunity to install and configure a system registered J2SE JRE version 5.0 Update 13.
  • ArcIMS Java Viewers: A JRE with the Java Plug-in is required.

HP only:

  • Java™ 2 platform, standard edition (J2SE)™ version 5.0.11 and the ANSI Standard C++ runtime (-AA) option library files are installed with ArcIMS 9.3 and 9.3.1.
  • The Standard C++ runtime (-AA)library files are required for ArcIMS 9.3 and 9.3.1.

J2SE SDK (JDK) Requirements

  • ArcIMS Server: Refer to your Web server documentation for supported JDK versions.
    JDK version 5 Update 13 (v1.5.0_13) is supported
  • ArcIMS Service Administrator, Metadata Explorer, Java Connector, WFS and WMS Connectors:
    JDK version 5.0 Update 13 is supported.
