- ArcSDE 9.3 on IBM DB2 V9.5 for Linux, UNIX and Windows has a limitation that multiversion views will not be supported until a subsequent service pack, coming soon.
- IBM DB2 9.5 Enterprise Server Edition is not supported on 32-bit Linux platform.

- ArcSDE component installation: The ArcSDE component must be installed on a Windows client machine. ArcSDE then makes a direct connection to the DB2 database subsystem on the z/OS. To make this direct connection, DB2 Connect Version 9.1, FixPack 3 or above, which includes the DB2 Control Center application, must be installed on the Windows client.
ArcSDE is tested and certified on DB2 Enterprise Server Edition. Other versions of DB2 such as WSE, WSUE, and PE share a common code base and are supported as long as they meet the ArcSDE requirements listed above. Operating System Limitations
Linux
ArcSDE is only supported on Linux x86, on CPUs that adhere to the x86 architecture (32-bit), with supported Linux releases.
Windows Vista and XP SP2 Professional Edition
Windows Vista and XP Service Pack 2 is supported for basic testing and application development use only. It is not recommended for deployment in a production environment.
Windows 64-bit servers
ArcSDE 9.3 is currently a 32-bit application, which can run on Windows 64-bit servers.
